Although football is the clear favourite amongst the people of Valencia and probably Spain, Basketball is a close second.

Basketball is very popular amongst the Spanish and the region of Valencia has 2 teams that compete in the national league as well as the European league, which is only bettered by the NBA in the USA.

Etosa Alicante Basketball is the other big team in the region situated in Alicante, and plays in the top league in close competition with Pamesa.
