Carnival time in Valencia

Carnival time is here in the Region of Valencia and time to get the fancy dress out.

Carnivals are the main event for the month of February in the Valencian Community.  Practically all the localities hold some kind of feast to mark the occasion in anticipation of Lent.   The festivities take place throughout the month in various towns.

Torrevieja carnival

 

In February you can enjoy the fiesta, the magic and the most vivid imagination. Experience the Carnival live from the towns of Pego, Villar del Arzobispo, Peñiscola, Vinaròs and many other towns.

A very popular fiesta, into which have been incorporated performances, the choosing of the carnival queens, the parades, the trial of Carnestoltes and the burial of the sardine!
