Seafood Cusine Fair in Villajoyosa

La Vila Joiosa is hosting the 7th Seafood Cuisine Fair, with thirteen restaurants offering the best recipes made with Mediterranean products.

The seventh year of the traditional Seafood Cuisine Fair is to be held in La Vila Joiosa, on the coast of the province of Alicante, between 26th February and 4th March. Thirteen restaurants are participating in this year's veteran gastronomic contest of this tourist town on the Costa Blanca.

The participating establishments will, during these days, be preparing special menus, at competitive prices, with the best seafood cuisine, with fresh fish, shellfish and rice as the elements to be highlighted.

In the inaugural supper, on Monday 26th February, in the Casino Mediterráneo, homage will be paid to the chef Quique Dacosta, whose restaurant has recently been awarded a second star by the prestigious Michelin Guide.

Amongst the programme events to be highlighted in this fair one can find Valencian cava tasting led by David Oñate, the best fried food in the world with a demonstration by the restaurant Alhucemas de Sanlúcar la Mayor of Sevilla and the fourth Mediterranean Wine Fair that will take place in the Mercado Central (Central Market).

The celebratory closing dinner on Sunday 4th March will be organised by the chef Raul Aleixandre of the restaurant Ca Sento in the city of Valencia.

La Vila Joiosa restaurants that will be offering their own finest specialities in the 7th Seafood Cuisine Fair in La Vila Joiosa are: Ca Marta, Casa Elordi, Club Náutico (Yacht Club), Club de Tenis (Tennis Club), Colón 52, El Emperador, El Moliner, El Nàutic, Hogar del Pescador, La Marina, Miramar, Pepe Córdoba and Rompeolas Casino Mediterráneo.
