A Real First

Valencian surgeon Pedro Cavadas yesterday managed to successfully transplant two hands on a woman in the La Fe Hospital. Both the Hospital and the patient had been waiting for a suitable donor since September. The operation – the first of its kind ever undertaken – was only realisable after the donor conformed to several conditions that had been set down by Dr. Cavadas.
