Pedro Reig, the President of the Commerce Association of Denia’s central Calle Marques de campo, stated yesterday during an interview on Radio Denia – Cadena SER that his collective is considering suing Denia Town Hall after it was announced that the street would be closed to traffic after 7:30 pm in the summer.
Mr. Reig added that his members stand to lose as much as 600,000 Euros this summer due to the street being closed to traffic as the main commercial activity on the street takes place between 7 & 9 pm on summer nights. However, Rafa Codina of the Denia Hoteliers Association stated that his collective was ion favour of the street being permanently turned into a pedestrian zone.
